DAVID BECKHAM'S HAIR LOSS: IS BECKS GOING BALD?

David Beckham Hair Loss: Is Beckham’s Famous Hair Starting to Thin?

David Beckham has been something of a male grooming icon for more than 25 years. From curtains and buzz cuts to quiffs and slicked-back styles, few men have influenced men's hair trends quite like Beckham.

But recent holiday photographs have shown a rather different side to his famous hair.

The former England captain was photographed relaxing aboard a luxury yacht, with his wet hair revealing what appears to be significant thinning across the top of his scalp.

So, is David Beckham losing his hair?

Beckham's Hair Looks Noticeably Thinner

At 51, it would hardly be unusual for Beckham to experience some degree of male hair loss. What's particularly interesting is the contrast between these candid photographs and some of his more polished public appearances.

When dry and styled, Beckham's hair can still look impressively full. When wet, however, considerably more of the scalp becomes visible.

Of course, wet hair naturally clumps together and almost always makes thinning look worse. But Beckham's latest appearance does suggest that his overall density isn't what it once was.

Has David Beckham Had a Hair Transplant?

This has been rumoured for years, although Beckham has never confirmed having a hair transplant.

His hairline appeared to recede during his 40s before subsequently looking stronger and fuller in later appearances. That has fuelled speculation that he may have undergone some form of hair restoration.

Hair fibres are another possibility. Cosmetic fibres can make thinning hair appear dramatically denser and may explain why Beckham's hair sometimes looks much thicker — and darker — than it does in candid photographs.

Again, though, that's purely speculation.

There's also no confirmation that Beckham uses finasteride, dutasteride or any other hair-loss medication.

What Can Men Learn From Beckham's Hair?

Perhaps the most useful takeaway has nothing to do with Beckham specifically.

Even a good head of hair can hide quite substantial thinning.

A clever haircut, blow-drying, styling products and hair fibres can make an enormous difference. It's often only when hair becomes wet that men realise how much density they've actually lost.

For men experiencing the early stages of thinning, there are several options, ranging from minoxidil and prescription treatments such as finasteride to hair transplantation.

But not everyone wants medication or surgery.

For those looking for a non-medicated approach, specialist nutritional supplements are another option for supporting normal, healthy hair.

HR23+® Hair Restoration Supplement, for example, combines 23 active ingredients and is designed for long-term nutritional hair support. It won't magically reverse advanced baldness, but for men noticing the earlier signs of thinning, it can form part of a broader hair-maintenance routine.

Whatever David Beckham is — or isn't — doing for his hair remains unknown.

But those yacht photographs provide a useful reminder for the rest of us: if you're starting to notice thinning, it's usually better to address your hair while you still have plenty of it.

HORACE HAIR GROWTH SUPPLEMENT REVIEW

Horace hair growth supplement

If you are looking to enhance the health of your hair, on a budget, then Horace Hair Growth Supplement could be a good option for you to take.

What is Horace Hair Growth Supplement?

This multi vitamin extract supplement promotes the natural growth and good health of the hair, and it stimulates the hair bulb. This potent supplement contains a simple blend of ingredients that work to encourage the hair to thrive during its growth phase.

The addition of zinc, selenium and vitamin B8 helps with the mantainecne of the hair, and improves its overall health. The daily dosage is two capsules, with a recommended sage period of three months, minimum.

Horace Hair Growth Supplement sells at £18.00, which puts it in the mid-region price range of hair growth supplements.  This supplement does NOT treat hair loss, is not FDA approved, and is in no way, shape or form a cure for hair loss.

This supplement has a mixed bag of reviews from its users, with an average score of 3.5/5 (70%). For what it is, and for its price, it could be worth a try, but if you are serious about combating hair loss more potently, then you should seek a more advanced supplement.

Should You Use Horace Hair Growth Supplement for Hair Loss?

If you are experiencing early stages of male pattern baldness, then a supplement like this can help slow down the rate of hair fall, but only to a minor effect. Do not expect any sort of miracles from this product.

Despite Horace Hair Growth Supplement having some effective hair beneficiary additives in it, it still only contains a handful of active ingredients, which means it lacks real potency in the way of treating baldness and thinning hair.

If you are looking to reduce hair loss and stimulate the healthy growth and re-growth of hair, then Horace will only give you minimal results, if you are lucky.

To treat hair loss safely and effectively, opt for a stronger multivitamin extract supplement that has a more potent depth of ingredients. HR23+ is the leading non-medical hair supplement for men and women fighting hair loss.

HIMS MEN'S WELLNESS BRAND LAUNCHES IN THE UK

The new men's wellness brand hits the UK with a range of products for hair loss and general health.

The men's wellness market has skyrocketed over the past few years, and with an ever increasing amount of male beauty brands hitting the scene. Hair loss and erectile dysfunction treatments are now huge business. In fact, the market for these treatments continues to grow at a staggering rate, and it doesn't look like stopping any time soon.

The hair loss sector alone is reported to be worth a colossal £2.5 billion, and sales of Viagra rocketed to well over £4 million in the U.K. in first few months after it finally became available over the counter. That's a huge increase for both markets since the transitional period of the noughties, when men's wellness and beauty was more of a taboo subject.

The men's hair loss market
is worth over £2 billion

Now the UK has embraced the men's wellness and beauty culture, taking it to new unfounded territories at times.  And so it is no surprise to see the men's wellness brand, Hims, coming to these shores. The main question is: Does this brand offer us anything we don't already have?

What is Hims?

Hims is a well-established men's wellness brand in the USA, focusing on two main aspects of men's health - baldness and erectile dysfunction. The online personal wellness experts provide a one-stop-shop for men’s wellness and personal care needs, offering access to both Sildenafil (the active ingredient in Viagra) and Finasteride (a medically approved hair loss treatment pill) all from the comfort of your own home.

There’s an initial one-off medical consultation fee, which is there for regulatory reasons and because it’s important to have your order signed of by a medical expert, but after that you are ok to use the treatments. The brand will soon be offering a range of personal care products too, including antioxidant-packed immunity gummies, and a Vitamin C-rich Morning Glow Serum. But this is still unconfirmed.

What are the Treatments Hims offer?

Tackling two of men's most private and worrying issues is noble, but it does seem rather dated.  People were, and still are, making a lot of money from selling hair loss treatments and Viagra type products. So, what's so new about Hims?

Well, nothing, actually.  If you strip back the brand to its core, you're left with Finasteride, Minoxidil, and Viagra. The thing is, Viagra is now legally sold over the counter, and Minoxidil is available to purchase over the counter, or even online with no prescription.  As for Finasteride, more commonly known as Propecia, this has been prescribed to men for years.  There isn't actually anything different or revolutionary that Hims offers the UK market.

The funny thing is, one of the most common side-effects from using Finasteride is erectile dysfunction. So, it seems a bit contradictory for a company to sell a hair loss treatment that potentially causes erectile dysfunction, of which is another treatment they offer.  That could get very complicated...

So, is Hims really all about men's 'wellness'?
Hmm, it certainly is debatable.

Because Hims haven't really cracked a market as such, you will actually be able to find plenty of the same, or even cheaper and safer alternatives, to their treatments. There isn't anything different about these products that we haven't already got here in the UK.

What are the alternatives treatments?

Finasteride does come with some potentially nasty side-effects, and so we now live in a culture where men are a lot more conscious about their health. Gone are the days when we risk our wellness in an attempt to gain a few hairs.  There is now a demand for safe, natural products.

If you want to avoid the harsh, prescription drugs, then consider a safe and natural multi-vitamin supplement like Viviscal or HR23+.  These types of supplements give our hair all the right minerals and nutrients that your food can't give you alone.

Multi-vitamin hair supplements are designed to help prevent hair loss and support the healthy function of hair growth. They are considered to be safe, and free from any unwanted side-effects.
