Polaris NR-02 is a potent shampoo to help counter the effects of androgenetic alopecia (male pattern baldness)
Polaris NR-02 is an exclusive formula that contains minoxidil and finasteride (apparently). It is claimed by the company that this shampoo prevents hair loss and stimulates its growth.
"The addition of minoxidil sulfate promotes the opening of ion channels and prolongs the anagen phase. Increases microcirculation providing the necessary nutrients for hair growth."
This triple action formula claims to help thicken, nourish and strengthen the hair strands, and block the formation of dihydrotestosterone (DHT). It also claims to revitalise existing hair and stimulates new hair growth.

Does this shampoo treat hair loss?
In all honesty, it is highly unlikely that this shampoo will treat hair loss to any level of effectiveness. There are two main reasons for this...
Firstly, no shampoo has been found to treat any type of hair loss in men or women. The main reason why shampoos are not as effective as topical serums, is because shampoos are not left to absorb into the scalp for very long. They are washed out within minutes of application.
This shampoo contains the FDA approved minoxidil treatment, but this additive does not work effectively as a shampoo. Minoxidil needs to be left to absorb into the scalp for a minimum period of four hours.
This product claims to contain finasteride, but finasteride is a medication that needs to be prescribed by a doctor. It is not an over-the-counter treatment, therefore to use a product that contains finasteride, you'd need a prescription.
Much like with minoxidil, topical finasteride is also more effective when left to absorb into the scalp for a number of hours. You simply do not get that same effect with a shampoo.
