SUPERDRUG LAUNCHES NEW BEARD THREADING SERVICE

Get a sharper cheek line at Superdrug’s Beauty Studio

Men’s grooming is no longer just the preserve of sleek celebrities and Love Island lads as Superdrug’s recent Men’s Grooming Survey revealed. With over half of men (54%) admitting to having a beauty or grooming treatment in a salon it’s become just as much the norm to invest in one’s appearance as it is for women.

The latest launch from Superdrug’s Beauty Studio Beard Threading introduced to over 300 stores around the UK with Brow & Lash Bars, with the service priced from £10.

There are many benefits of why men should skip the blade. In threading, a thin cotton or polyester thread is doubled, then twisted and rolled over areas of unwanted hair, plucking the hair out at the follicle level. Unlike tweezing, where single hairs are pulled out one at a time, threading can remove short rows of hair all in one go for an even finish.

The art of threading the beard will help achieve a sharper, cleaner and precise line, leaving you very much satisfied with the results. Another benefit of threading the beard line, is that facial hair grows back thinner and less course, allowing results to last anywhere from two to six weeks for most men.

They can’t guarantee the chiselled jaw of David Beckham – voted number one men’s grooming icon in Superdrug’s 2019 survey – but with the new service you can at least hone your facial hair to achieve the Beckham look.

Jerry Walkling, Superdrug Retail Director said: “We’ve seen a real evolution of the beard. Five years ago men were just excited to be able to grow their facial hair and used a long, out of control beard as a badge of their masculinity. Today it’s about having a beard that makes you look groomed and younger. We’ve seen a definite rise in popularity for men’s grooming ranges in recent years and as such we’re constantly expanding our range to meet customers’ needs.”
