The third Friday in August is National Men's Grooming Day.  This holiday was originally established in 2007 by American Crew, which markets men's grooming products to professional shops.  Each year salons and barbershops participate by offering specials on men's grooming services.

National Men's Grooming Day is a day that encourages men to purchase and use a variety of beauty products to help manage and maintain their appearance.  Top salons, barbers, online stores and men's beauty parlours are often promoting National Men's Grooming Day with special offers, discounts and education about the men's beauty sector.
